Raggy Beasties
Raggy Beasties are based on the idea of a traditional rag doll but with the unique shape of a Cawcas Doll. I use off-cuts of cloth that have been gathered from over 30 years of working in theatre costume departments. The dolls are made from tiny individual pieces, so even the smallest pieces of cloth can be used which eliminates the environmental impact of producing new fabrics.

These dolls are all based on creatures from nature, but with some Cawcas magic mixed in. We both spend time deciding which creature we'd like to make and then look at loads of pictures before putting our own twist on them.

We both love nature so these ones are fun to do. I especially love adding clothes to them, and thinking about what a crow might wear ... a spangly cape obviously!
