The Disturbed Grown Ups
Cawcas evolved from a love of dolls and all things creepy and from my work in theatre where I make and design costumes.
I'm Cate and I have worked in theatre for over 30 years and made all sorts of crazy costumes, from Dragons to Tree Queens to Wee Agnes who runs the laundrette. I've made Medieval dresses, Edwardian suits and Space Travelling Aliens.

Making dolls combines my love of costume and characters with my love of tiny creepy things.

My partner, Stef sees the world through funny goggles and keeps his inner child on the outside!
​
I design, cut and make the Cawcas Dolls by hand and Stef designs and hand-paints all of their faces.
